our Tech-in-Progress is always on the move - creating and building and designing and learning so many new things. It's one of our many programs not found elsewhere for this age group!
The "TIP CREW" Program has been around since Year 3, when Jason and Melissa Lamb joined illuminate, bringing their love for all things technical theatre with them. With a gorgeous venue like Tolman Theatre available to us, students get to learn in an incredible space, doing everything from building sets to re-wiring lights to designing lights and special effects. They learn how to work as a team to change the sets during our intensive Mainstage productions while having so much fun.
This year, our tech crew was given a grant by the Wrentham Cultural Council which we were able to put towards our set construction needs. Our next TIP Crew starts in March and it's not too late to sign up! They meet at Tolman High School from 3-6. Be ready to work hard and have alot of fun while learning about set design, light design, sound, and so much more.
